The sweet potato(Ipomoea batatas) is a dicotyledonous plant that belongs to the family Convolvulaceae.
Its large, starchy, sweet-tasting, tuberous roots are a root vegetable.
In Korea, sweet potatoes are baked in foil or in open fire, typically during winter. And in Korean, sweet potatoes are called "Goguma".
While sweet potato provides less edible energy and protein per unit weight than cereals,
it is a higher nutrient density source of certain vitamins and minerals than cereals.
